About the Author

Hi there! I’m Marc, a web developer with 10+ yrs. experience, centered on Ruby on Rails, Javascript and Shopify.

My first dabbling in websites was a static website about the 9* planets of the Solar System… saved and submitted as a school project via HDD that I managed to disassemble off the PC… because the floppy disk drive was broken.

(If a few of those words flew past your head or wonder about the 9th planet, I’m sorry!)

Ever since then, I was told I was good with problem solving and computers.

So a few years later, after graduating with a Mathematics degree at the University of the Philippines Diliman, I went in Head First* into Web Development.

Then A LOT of years later, I’ve made and/or maintained web apps as part of aelogica, TrafficDito.com, and as a freelancer for a variety of industries:

• eCommerce (custom platform, Shopify Apps)
• Health and Fitness
• Real Estate, Self-storage, Senior Living
• Digital Marketing (Manychat/FB Chatbot Funnels)
• Golf
• An Australian book and TV Show

I’m currently open for Ruby/Rails/Shopify-related projects.

* Only a few developers who read some early O’Reilly books will get the reference to that one. 😉
